  12. I just upgraded from a 386, generic 2400 baud modem, Procomm for dos to
  13. a Pentium, Motorola Power 28.8, Procomm Plus for Windows.
  14. 1) Does anyone have a good init string for the Power?
  15. 2) When I run MSD in DOS, it shows my com port as 2400. Does this
  16.    mean anything? Do I have to change it? If so, how?
  17. 3) What AT.... command do I need to use to show my actual connect
  18.    speed?  Right now, I get the standard CONNECT 28800 message, but I
  19.    don't think it's accurate.
  20. 4) When Procomm starts up, I get the following message:
  21.    AT
  22.    OK
  23.    AT&F&C1&D2W2\Q3\V1\N7
  24.    ERROR
  25.    ATM1L2S7=60S11=55*ids0=0*DR

  27.    Is this the default Procomm init string? Does this error mean 
  28.    anything?

  30. I'm trying to read the Power  and Procomm manuals, but that's a
  31. whole lot of new info to absorb, for someone who has never had to
  32. worry about AT commands, init strings, and connect speeds with a
  33. 2400 b modem. Thanks for any help you can provide!
