- I just upgraded from a 386, generic 2400 baud modem, Procomm for dos to
- a Pentium, Motorola Power 28.8, Procomm Plus for Windows.
- 1) Does anyone have a good init string for the Power?
- 2) When I run MSD in DOS, it shows my com port as 2400. Does this
- mean anything? Do I have to change it? If so, how?
- 3) What AT.... command do I need to use to show my actual connect
- speed? Right now, I get the standard CONNECT 28800 message, but I
- don't think it's accurate.
- 4) When Procomm starts up, I get the following message:
- AT
- OK
- AT&F&C1&D2W2\Q3\V1\N7
- ERROR
- ATM1L2S7=60S11=55*ids0=0*DR
-
- Is this the default Procomm init string? Does this error mean
- anything?
-
- I'm trying to read the Power and Procomm manuals, but that's a
- whole lot of new info to absorb, for someone who has never had to
- worry about AT commands, init strings, and connect speeds with a
- 2400 b modem. Thanks for any help you can provide!
